Terms of Service
July 22, 2026
1Introduction and Scope
WASLA is a mobile matchmaking app dedicated to services in Algeria. It lets clients (service seekers) find professionals (Workers) by Wilaya and Commune and send them service requests (Connects), or post an open request (Job Listing) that professionals can respond to.
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the WASLA mobile application (available on iOS and Android) by all its users in Algeria.
2Definitions and Roles
2.1 Platform Users
Client
A user registered on the app looking for a professional to carry out a service, either by sending a direct request (Connect) or by posting a Job Listing.
Worker (Service Provider)
A professional registered on the app, either as an individual or as a business, whose registration is subject to review by WASLA. They offer services through a detailed profile (categories, bio, location) and can accept requests sent to them or respond to Job Listings posted by clients.
2.2 WASLA’s Role
WASLA is exclusively a digital technology intermediation platform.
Limitations of liability:
- ✗ WASLA is not a party to the contract formed directly between the Client and the Worker.
- ✗ WASLA does not intervene in the performance of the service or in its payment terms.
- ✗ WASLA is neither an employer nor a staffing agency with respect to Workers.
3How the App Works
3.1 Authentication
- Sign-up and sign-in use an Algerian phone number. An OTP (one-time password sent by SMS) system secures access and verifies identity.
3.2 Worker Verification
- To become a Worker, a user submits a request (service categories, bio, individual/business account type) that is reviewed by the WASLA team before approval. WASLA may reject a request without obligation to justify the decision.
3.3 The Connect Process
- 1.The client browses categories, filters by wilaya/commune, and selects a worker.
- 2.A request (Connect) is submitted, which can include a description, photos, and files.
- 3.The worker receives the request, evaluates it, and updates its status (accepted, rejected, cancelled, or completed).
3.4 Job Listings (Open Requests)
- A client can post a Job Listing describing a need (description, indicative budget, location, photos). Matching Workers can respond by submitting a proposal, which the client accepts, declines, or ignores.
3.5 Posts
- Workers can publish photos and videos of their past work to showcase their skills to clients.
3.6 Messaging
- Once matched, Client and Worker can exchange messages through instant messaging built into the app (text, images, audio, files). These exchanges remain the sole responsibility of their authors.
3.7 Reviews
- After a service, the Client can leave the Worker a rating and comment, optionally with photos. These reviews are publicly visible on the Worker’s profile, and their author is responsible for their accuracy.
3.8 Favorites and Notifications
- Clients can save Workers as favorites to find them easily. Notifications (push and in-app) inform users of events related to their activity (new request, status change, new message, etc.).
4Billing and Services
To gain optimal visibility and additional benefits, professionals (Workers) can subscribe to plans or “Packs” through the app, paid via BaridiMob, CIB, Flexy, or PayPal, in Algerian dinars (DZD).
Payment for Services
Unlike app subscriptions, financial transactions for services rendered take place directly between the Client and the Worker. WASLA charges no commission on these transactions and does not act as a financial trusted third party for them.
5User Obligations
- •Provide accurate information when setting up your profile, particularly regarding identity and location (Wilaya, Commune).
- •For Workers: act professionally, honor commitments made, and provide the service you were selected for in good faith.
- •For Clients: describe your request with as much detail and media as possible, leave honest reviews, and pay directly upon completion of the agreed service.
- •Do not publish content (posts, messages, listings, reviews) that is illegal, misleading, abusive, or infringes on a third party’s rights.
6Reporting and Moderation
Reporting
Any user can report a profile, post, listing, or message that violates these terms through the built-in reporting feature. WASLA reviews reports and may remove the content in question or suspend the responsible account.
Blocking
A user can block another user at any time, which ends their mutual exchanges and requests on the platform.
7Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion
WASLA may suspend or terminate a user’s access in the event of a serious breach of these terms. A user may request account deletion from the app at any time; the account is then placed in a 30-day pending-deletion state, during which signing back in cancels the request, before the data is permanently deleted.
8General Provisions
Intellectual Property
The WASLA brand, logo, and app (code, design) are the exclusive property of their publisher. Content published by users (posts, reviews, photos) remains their property, subject to a display license granted to WASLA for the purpose of operating the platform.
Limitation of Liability
WASLA provides the platform “as is” and does not guarantee continuous service availability or the quality of services performed by Workers, whose declarative information provided at sign-up it only reviews at a basic level.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by Algerian law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent Algerian courts.
Changes
WASLA may update these terms at any time; continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance.
